1) They change so fast, and you’ll need photos to be able to remember all of the details. The chunky little fingers, the gummy smile, the swirl in their hair. It all changes in a blink of an eye and portraits freeze time. I know this first hand - as my children are now almost grown up and finishing school!!
2) Every year you have with them is a big one and deserves to be celebrated. Your children are your utter priority, you do everything for them!! Having a baby is a huge life change in your life and is worthy of documenting, and having teenagers is even harder. So take the family photos while you can!! (Before you have to bribe them!!!
3) Because, it is a beautiful excuse to get extra hugs, and longer kisses.....a time to reflect on the year!
4) One day, you’ll look back on these photos (I am speaking from experience her) and be beyond grateful to your past self for taking the time to have the photos taken. You never know what tomorrow holds and portraits of our loved ones are important to have.

Some Memories we created... at a recent session
I was delighted to spend sunrise with the Theese family at a recent sunrise photoshoot in Mooloolaba. Often families with small children are used to waking very early - (not all families - mine were sleepers) 5 am starts are the norm for many families with small kiddos! The excitement and anticipation are great, and then we let the family story unfold - with light direction and me looking for those extra special moments.
Thank you to this beautiful family - for entrusting me to create and capture moments of motherhood - moments with the ones we love!!
